RazorSecure, in partnership with BCRRE, secures DfT grant for digital maintenance project
RazorSecure, in partnership with The Birmingham Centre for Railway Research and Education (BCRRE) at the University of Birmingham, have secured a Transport Research and Innovation Grant to carry out our joint efforts in enabling safe and reliable digital maintenance in rail. Transport Research and Innovation Grants (TRIG) are fully funded by the UK Department of Transport, supported by Connected Places Catapult.
The project will run from March 2022 to September 2022 and aims to demonstrate a proof of concept for managing a number of safety related application conditions as part of maintenance of these digital systems. The project aims to establish a solution for secure maintenance operations capable of integration with legacy and new railway vehicles. This will support the integrity and reliability of rail services, through addressing some of the causes of poorly managed digital maintenance that have led to operational problems.
